Hi there,

I'm using a portable charger from Ev institute and using this charger on the go several times. I always use 10amp for circuit i don,t know, at friends house or using a mall outlets. Interesting that when a plug to a 220v outlets the charger keeps chargin in 9-10 amps continuesly without any problem.

But when plug in 110v outlet like today at the mall, I found the charger making a "click click" noise, and when looking in to the screen I see the amps indicator oscilating 5, 2, 10 amps.. maybe a circuit interference. And the charger during the noise interupt and resume charging reapeatly. For safety measures i unpluged the car.
So the question: Is safe to use the charger in this cases or is better look for a 6amps charger?

I will continue usind the charger at home, where there is a dedicaded circuit, but i.m a bit afraid using 10amp charger in theses ordinaries 110 outlets.
