Can anyone tell me the route that is used getting from the battery in the boot to connections under the bonnet.

My local auto electrical shop tell me it will cost up to £600 to do the wiring!

I have a dedicated 13 pin wiring set including an extension kit.

I have stripped out the panels in the boot no problem and can see the wiring can run under the plastic covers down the left side but how does it get into the engine compartment?

Thanks

A very good reason to have it fitted by a Mitsubishi dealer. It saves money in the long run if they know what they are doing. I've never heard of wiring needing to be run all the way to the motor compartment.

There is no requirement to run any cables to the engine bay.

The trailer connector for the vehicle specific wiring kit is in the boot of the car (2013 - 2016 model) & not under the bonnet.
Power is taken directly from the battery terminal in the boot.

Fitting the vehicle specific wiring kit is very quick & easy once you've done a few.

Main dealers generally do not fit towbars.
They usually send the vehicles to a professional towbar fitting centre. (I worked for the biggest in the UK for several years). ;)

Thanks for your help, turns out I should not have been sold the extension cable.
The auto-electrician still took 2.5 hours for a 45 min job lol
