Hi as the topic says, I'm the brand new owner of my 2014 Outlander PHEV.

Really enjoying the experience so far, but am in danger of becoming a fuel miser already!

My query, and forgive me if it has already been asked before is....

My second key fob, while it flashes and has the right metal key in it, is not recognised by the car, is there some magical mystical button/pedal sequence that I can perform to reintroduce the car and the fob to each other.

Or is this a Mitsubishi service centre job only, if so does anybody have an idea of costs?

I'm in Ireland, so I will be expecting to pay more.

Hmm - I'd have thought it was the battery too. I have replaced one for my 2014 car but the other "spare" still has the original but when I took it in the car Tuesday (to leave with the dealer) I got a low battery warning on the dash.

Anyway try leaving it in the slot near the "cigar lighter" socket while driving. There is supposed to be some kind of mystic interface in it.

Thanks Guys,

Spoke with my nearest Mitsi service centre, it's charged at 30 minutes to reprogram the key, so not the end of the world.
