I found this video by accident and thought it can be of interest.
The beeper is not removed, but its volume is reduced to maybe 10%.

Best regards, Harald

Before attempting this, one should be aware that the Outlander shown in the video is not a PHEV and, more concerning, from a previous generation. Not talking about a different MY, but really a different generation. Designed together with PSA. The 'culprit' may not be in the same spot.

I've grown to like all the beeps and boops.

I've been calling mine "Beepy" maybe I should call it Betty (Boop boop de oop!)

I've seen the unit removed when my alarm was installed and it looks nothing like this one. Furthermore, the beeps on our PHEV originate from different spots.

Thanks for clarification.
Can you also tell where the Beeper is located in the PHEV?

I'm sure you already know but just a quick reminder that any change to the audible warning system will make your insurance invalid if you haven't already notified them

I've never understood this fixation with beeps that some owners seem to have. When I've paid this much for a car, I would like it to play the National Anthem and Hallelujah Chorus whenever I touch a button - preferably at a couple of hundred decibels over external speakers! :D

In order to stop my wife "beep" about all the beeps in the PHEV, I took the steps in the video and got great reduction of noise.
Now wife have stopped "beeping" and the car as well, and we can now have a good relaxed drive.
