2018 Quartz Brown Metallic Outlander PHEV-Amelia Island, FL

We bought our PHEV on 2/17/2018. The car was delivered to us from a dealer in Tampa, which is 240 miles across the state from Amelia Island, an island just north of Jacksonville. There were no PHEV dealers in Jacksonville at the time. Funny thing is, this car was unloaded off the boat In Jacksonville and then trucked over to Tampa, but we got it and we love it. What a fun car to drive! Our criteria for buying a new car this time, was something that sat up a little higher than the average car, something a typical SUV would do; have 4 wheel drive (we have a vacation home in the snowy mountains of North Carolina), get exceptional gas milage, as many hybrids also do and finally the most important requirement, carry a pinball machine which this car can do with ease. We own a Pinball Museum here on the island and have need to transport pinball machines around from time to time. Oh Boy does the Outlander PHEV meet all these requirements and more. As a retired 3M electrical engineer, I am having a blast learning all about this cool car.
