Watchdog App / Android w/o cell service?

I would ask Santos, but can't find a contact. Can I use the Watchdog App on an unlocked Android phone with no cell service? (Right, forget altitude etc.) Phone as monitor only? Thx!

I never tried ... but I don't see why it should not work

The WatchDog does not need any internet or any phone service ... just bluetooth is needed.

Yes you can, I use such a phone dedicated for Watchdog since currently you can't record Watchdog trips while using Android Auto on the same phone. You can still record location data in Watchdog with such a phone provided you have the GPS enabled (no cell service is required).
