So I'm swapping my xtrail for an Outlander in a couple of months. On my xtrail I have these really kool side bars that illuminate. I'm possibly going to try and retrofit these bars on to my Outlander. In terms of wiring, it seems it's wired in to something linked to the interior lights. Do you think this would be difficult?

Thanks

It seems that some folk hard wire their dash cams to the interior dome light and some route the cables down to a fuse box behind the glove box so the areas you need access to must be available ! Good luck

You are talking about side bars outside?
If yes, there is a break thru which you can find by taking out the cowl side trim.

Power can be taken from a fuse or the ETACS. Both you will find behind the small lid on the driver side left below the steering wheel.
