Thanks for all the responses.
So, my car is fully expensed which means insurance, tax, servicing and fuel are all paid for. I pay BIK on the car and fuel and that will be higher with the 5HS but it's minimal. The BIK value will be at it's highest next year and then it drops again for both the...
Hi everyone
I've had a Phev 4HS as a company car for three years and I still love it. I'm having to get rid soon and I'd like to stay with the Outlander because it does everything I need for a relatively low BIK payment.
I'm being offered a choice. A nearly new 5HS or a new 4h.
I can't see...
Well, I've taken it into a local dealer and they are sending off pictures to Mitsubishi for 'assessment' to decide if it can be repaired under warranty. I will update you but the silver foil is so incredibly thin that I'm certain that others are going to have the same problem.
Having material...
It's starting to bubble under the rest of the silver foil now. I reckon a good long drive and I'll remove the rest of the silver foil on that section.
Not impressed by the thickness or the strength of this coating. On closer inspection it looks like a stone has hit it and made a small hole...
I've had my Orient Red PHEV for just 9 weeks and done just under 6000 miles. This morning I've noticed that I have a hole in the front silver bars that run under the lights where the thin silver coating has peeled off. The coating is still there but hanging off, the l size of the hole is about...
My only problem with the tailgate is that you can't lock the car until it's finished closing. On my last two cars they both let you lock the car whilst the boot was closing which meant you didn't have to hang around and wait for it.
Saying that I locked the car once whilst walking away and...
If I was putting a "semi-permanent" extension lead outside with a proper IP rated socket then it's worth having a RCD adaptor on the other end for added "Peace of mind"

I fitted my own external socket for a pond and used armoured cable...
On all UK coiled extension leads it must display on it the maximum coiled and uncoiled power that can be drawn through it.
As a PAT tester I can absolutely confirm that you should always uncoil the extension lead especially if drawing high amps. Follow the guidelines on the actual cable, they...
1. Company car arriving 18/03/16
2. MY16 GX4hs Orient Red
3. Facelift
4. 5% BIK + need for limited off road and I have a big family
5. North Wales coast
6. Sales Account Manager so do around 2400 miles a month. However, nearly all personal miles will be EV so should save a small fortune with...
Just jumping into this conversation cos Jaapv mentioned 4WD.
I'm getting my new PHEV in 6 weeks (well 37 days but whose counting) and I live in sunny North Wales. I do a lot of mountain stuff and getting the PHEV was based on the savings in BIK + having a good vehicle to handle those odd off...
So, here is the update.
Engineer arrived at 12:45, he should have been here for 13:00 so he was early which I was happy with. :)
I showed him the cable run that I wanted under the floor and through an air brick which meant no drilling through thick walls and he was more than happy to use it...
I've gone with Chargemaster and it's being installed tomorrow, so I'll try and post some pics and info.
The journey so far hasn't been too painful.
* I filled in the on-line form and received an email response within 3 days.
* I was asked to send in pics of the meter and surrounding area and...
