    A major mitigating factor for the range issue is that the PHEV Outlander will have the 440V quick charge port. My i-MiEV (with a 16kw battery pack) charges to 80% in about 20 minutes. The Outlander should only take 15minutes--or less if there is charge left in the batteries.
