Outlander PHEV in the UK - review

AutoCar.co.uk did a brilliant review of the Outlander plug-in hybrid. They loved the vehicle overall, and basically summed it up with this: Read the full review here: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/mitsubishi/outlander/first-drives/mitsubishi-outlander-phev-uk-first-drive-review

Cool night shot of the Outlander PHEV

I found this cool picture on InsideEVs, not sure where the original source was. Is that Frost on the hood/roof, or something else going on? Looks like a power generating station in the background?

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in UK in March!

Mitsubishi has officially announced that the Outlander PHEV will be launched in the UK in March of this year! No pricing has been announced yet for the UK Outlander, but some online are speculating the cost might be quite low to try and encourage purchases. So far, the UK has been quite slow to...

A good thing the Outlander cannot fly....

It seems to be that range estimates are getting more and more conservative - that way there's little to no chance a driver will be stranded with an empty battery pack at the fault of the vehicle. However, on a plug-in hybrid, it doesn't seem as necessary to have that safety zone.

    Extra driving light

That's disappointing that a brand new vehicle doesn't have bright enough lights. Are they really bad, or is it more because you have come from a vehicle with very bright headlights so that is what you are used to (like a BMW with HID lights or similar)

    Some complaining of burning smell?

Thanks for sharing this information! And that is a good point, on a gasoline powered vehicle, those first minutes of drive time would already be done just leaving the factory, loading on the ship, driving off the transport truck etc. With the Outlander, you use the battery pack for so long that...

Parking alert system seemed not best

It can be muted as they said, so it takes a little bit to get used to it but it can be done. And then if you do need it it will work on its own.

    Regional topic section?

Hi Outlander PHEV Forum administrators could you create a section for some regional or language specific discussions? Has anyone else though of this idea being a good one?

    Phev orders

Lets hope that this is true for the Outlander because they are walking a thin line with these delays it could be too late when they come out especially if some other carmaker has a PHEV SUV to rival him, it could halve the Outlander PHEV sale numbers.

Mitsubishi extends Outlander PHEV production halt

As someone previously stated if this dely is mostly about getting the kinks out of the armor, then it's definitely a worthwhile move.
