Quick update following my purchase on Friday. I got it home on 85% ev, which I thought was marvelous! Didn't check the mpg at that point though. Didn't take it to the caravan this week but have just taken it out on 2 journeys. First to take my boy free running. 95% ev and 256mpg on that trip...

Well, thanks to everyone who has provided information on here. I have now taken the plunge and bought a 16 plate GX4H in white from my local Mitsubishi dealer. Can't wait to collect it now at the end of the week, hopefully. Looking forward to seeing what I can get out of it! :D xx

I did a mixture of round town, dual carriageways and hills. Did about 10 miles in total, floored it on occasion but I still managed...

Thanks for your comments everyone. I am going for a test drive tomorrow to make a decision. Testing both the PHEV and a 2 series GT as a backup. So hoping that I will make the right decision!!

Thanks for the replies all. I guess it comes down to a bit of guesswork as to how much mpg I can get out of it. Going for a test drive on Thursday so will ask more about it then. I'm thinking I should get more than 50mpg on average out of it, which is a figure I've been quoted on an alternative...
