Strong smell from PHEV While connected to Level 1 Charger

Potentially a fire hazard and if your wiring is not at the correct rating your insurer would surely back away, get it checked.. Not wise to charge the PHEV indoors and/or from a domestic circuit. Needs a direct supply from the main/distribution board.

    PHEV life span?

I'm guessing no one has had main battery issues! What's the highest mileage?

    PHEV life span?

I suspect many prospective and current owners have concerns about the battery life: with an 8 year warranty I'm expecting the design intention is ~10years. Anybody needed a main battery replaced, mileage and age? And.. What's the highest mileage and oldest PHEV on the Forum?

    Servicing cost

You might want to think about the fact that the main battery warranty is now 8 years.

    TPMS

Just a quick question following on from above. If a tyre fitter simply replaces all 4 tyres I'm assuming there's no need to disturb the sensor(s), does that means it just needs the TPMS resetting via the touch screen?

    Rear Tailgate ?

Spot on - thanks. Mind you it wasn't by accident it was switched off but an inquisitive grandson

    Rear Tailgate ?

My tailgate doesn't seem to want to open electrically. If I press either the key-fob, internal switch or the tailgate switch: it unlocks bleebs several times and has to be opened manually! Have I inadvertently switched the auto open setting OFF? Ideas welcome

    Air Con leak detection dye

Had a similar issues. The condenser was changed under warranty; examine your carefully. You'll ned a mirror on a stick. Not heard that the dye causes issues; you must regas with a refrigerant that is suitable for electric cars. A regas is chargeable but if there's a leak its a warranty claim.

    Data Logs

I am in the UK so yes it was well over the 70mph limit. However, I was more interested in whether anyone has an idea what data might be logged as I know some manufacturers log frequency of engine over speed. e.g. revs in the 'red' zone.

    Data Logs

We all know companies are getting into the 'small print' to avoid warranty claims. Anyone know if the PHEV logs 'excess' speed. My in-car camera recorded my Dealer's driver at over 104mph (dual carriageway) when returning my PHEV from servicing and I just wondered if this may have ben logged...

    Anyone going for another one?!

With the 5yr warranty and 8yr battery guarantee I'll be keeping it for a while. IMO the plug-in is the only hybrid, those that have and ICE that charges their battery are not hybrid because the only fuel they use is petrol. So, in my opinion they are petrol engine! So for the plug-in...

Android Oreo 8 & Remote Ctrl app

Its worth noting that there are now 3 apps for the PHEV Cars with a 10 digit code = PHEV Cars with a 14 digit code = PHEV 1 Cars with electric handbrake = PHEV ll. UK Customer Services have pointed us to PHEV l - despite our car having a 10 digit code - we'll see what they say!

Android Oreo 8 & Remote Ctrl app
