    Fuel filter change

Fuel filter replacement was due at a recent service. When I picked the car up from the Mits dealership, they said they couldn’t free up the filter from the tank so left it alone. So questions are: does this sound right? I’m slightly surprised how inaccessible the filter was made out to be. And...

MY2019 Outlander PHEV 2.4 4H - My Test Drive Weekend.

Might be different on your shiny new one but on my 2015 just push the vent all the way to one side and it clicks closed. Have a play and you’ll see what I mean. Enjoying the reports.

USB and Cig. Lighter charger under armrest don't work

Thanks for the tips: phones have started charging again when plugged in so must have been a loose connection or wiggly amp somewhere.

USB and Cig. Lighter charger under armrest don't work

I have a slightly odd issue with regard to the 12v and USB plugs. I have a couple of devices which plug in to the 12v in order to charge phones etc (usb outlets). Power is definitely getting to the device, but no power is then coming out of them to the phones. They work fine in other cars. USB...

    2019 Outlander PHEV revealed

The 2019 model is promising a 15% increase in battery capacity (pushing it to 13.8kWh) and a 10% increase in battery output. Also, the electric motor is receiving a 10% increase in output, but as the battery is being upgraded at the same time, it suggests that drivers will not have to sacrifice...

    Heated windscreen retrofit

One of the biggest causes of me having to fire up the ICE on shorter journeys is to demist the windows. (2015 gx4h). Any thoughts as to the feasibility of retrofitting a heated screen like the newer models have? A good preheat works well but can only do so much, and I tried a rain-x product...

    Seized rear brake caliper

No not under warranty. It is over 6 months since purchased and 77000 miles so not covered. I will be having words though if this turns into a full recall. It needed replacing to pass MOT

    Seized rear brake caliper

Hmmm. Hadn’t seen this thread but just picked my 2015 4h up from the garage (mits dealership) after spending around £500 on having the caliper per replaced so will be watching this with interest!

Complaining about fuel consumption.I just don't get it.

The 0.33 coefficient of drag is only part of the story though as to obtain a measurement of aerodynamic drag which needs to be overcome you need to multiply the Cd by the frontal area. This is where an SUV falls down!

    Fuel consumption on petrol

I’d work on around 35mpg at 60mph when battery has depleted and vehicle is running as a ‘normal’ hybrid. Second question of yours has been done a lot on these forums but consensus seems to be to let the car do its own thing rather than fiddle with save and charge unless you have specific...

MMCS failure on 15 plate 4H / poor service

My point being that they did agree initially to a 'goodwill' repair outside of warranty but then changed their mind. This I think is very poor.

MMCS failure on 15 plate 4H / poor service

I recently purchased a 2015 Gx4h from a second hand car dealer local to me. There was an issue with the MMCS when I tested the car in that the nav didn't work. I was assured this would be fixed by the time I collected but it wasn't and subsequently the unit has failed completely. I agreed with...

How 'cold' should air con get?

I had my air con topped up recently at a local tyre and exhaust place. I was looking where to take it and noticed that ATS (a U.K. chain of tyre fitters) charge more for an air con top up for a hybrid than a 'normal' car. Any idea why?
