I use Bluetooth streaming with my iPhone 6 to the phev exclusively. Much more reliable than the sub connection for me. I've got the pre-facelift outlander.

In the first post I mentioned wpa2. That worked for me.

Actually, yes you can do that, you can connect to the car's wifi and use your mobile data for the Internet while away from home. At home, you can make your phone only connect to the car's wifi when you manually select the car's wifi network - the rest of the time it will automatically connect...

I have an iPhone 6 and use the remote app, this means I have a wifi network for my car as well as my normal home wifi networks etc. Sometimes I'd find that while at home, the phone would connect to the car in preference to home wifi - which is a pain. I also found that with the car wifi network...

I was in a similar position and ended up with biz lease. If you want I can send you a spreadsheet that I used to calculate the overall cost, comparing pcp vs business lease etc. includes corp tax, income tax mileage allowance etc.

Oh for front parking sensors that are actually useful rather than these comedy corner ones I've got on my car!

So is there a break even point for using charge mode and speed? Say you're driving on a long run (say 150 or 200 miles) at 80mph or 90mph (128km/h or 145km/h), does it make sense to run in normal mode or flip between charge and normal modes?

OK, this is how streaming etc. work with my iPhone (6) and my car (gx4hs) - hope it is helpful. If plug my phone into a usb charger/don't plug it in at all, when you turn on the car it tries to leave off where it last was: so if you were playing spotify/audible/whatever, it tries to continue...
