    Another windscreen gets cracked

I have had this on several occasions - on Vauxhalls and Fords but I haven't had my Outlander long enough yet. The worst are near the edge, and I have driven along just watching one travel across imperceptibly but longer every time I looked at it.

    Another windscreen gets cracked

If you leave a crack it will spread and then you need a replacement windscreen. Our local windscreen place repairs starburst cracks up to about 20mm for £30 or Autoglass can do it for free on the insurance. When I had one recently Autoglass said they couldn't come for over a week - by which...

Is public station charge worth doing and if so with whom?

So now I am settled with my new PHEV I am wondering about charging away from home. But I can't see that it is worth it for me. My batteries will take about 9.5KwH in charge, and I understand the fast charge stops at 80% so 7.6Kwh on a fast charge. Means a free charge is worth around £3 of...

3 years old range on battery?

Once again, thank you to all those who have posted here. I have got the PHEVWatchdog working and been using it for a while. My battery condition is on the poor side for the 42000 miles at 81.85%, but not desperately so. I get the impression that the previous owner used it just as a hybrid as...

3 years old range on battery?

Thanks to everyone for their help here. I now have Watchdog working and the battery condition is 80.5% (30.6AH) at 42524 miles. This is a little low compared to the history on the Watchdog website but not low enough for me claim on waranty. Interesting to see is that the previous owner only...

3 years old range on battery?

Its OK, I saw that and tried ploughing through them but the links were everywhere but the UK so I assumed the principle of avoid the cheap clones - but that didn't work. The PanLong was no good so that's going back and I have now ordered an iCarSoft i620 which is what I should have done in the...

3 years old range on battery?

Thank you for this. I am now ploughing through the options here. There appear to be three apps of interest here : Torque, EvBatMon and Watchdog. EvBatMon costs upfront whereas Watchdog asks for a donation, but EvBatMon is on Google Play which means it has satisfied their security checks...

    Who are you?

    1. Owner: two weeks 2. Model: GX3H Atlantic Grey early 2015 3. Non facelift (I think) 4. What attracted you to the car initially: I can stop poisoning kids with NOX, and help contain global warming. I would have preferred something physically smaller but the 3 year old Prius has too small an EV...

3 years old range on battery?

Many thanks thanks for all this. I am much more comfortable with what I am getting as it seems that it is not so much a problem with my car, more a general PHEV issue. I am in Essex, so although we think we we have some hills they are pretty trivial compared to Wales or the Chilterns. One of...

3 years old range on battery?

Hi, I have just bought a 3 year and 2 month old Outlander PHEV, first registered February 2015. After I charge it the car says I have a 20 mile range and I get about 20 miles with the air con and headlamps turned off. It varies a bit from day to day but only by about a mile. I was rather...
