I purchased a new PHEV 3 weeks ago in New Zealand, and it comes with an 8 year battery warranty. Exactly how much storage loss is allowed before the warranty kicks in is not stated though.

To put some numbers on this, the 2019 Outlander PHEV spec quotes a battery capacity of 12kW, and my house uses around 25kWh per day at the moment in New Zealand summer, so the car will only contribute 50% of our use from a full charge. While there are only 2 people in the house, we are gadget...
