    EV Range

Me too, my 2016 model never shows anything above 24 / 25 miles on the guessometer but my 2015 (old shape) model regularly stated 32. Obviously not having both cars at the same timeI can't compare real mileage achieved. I wondered whether the new car range would show an increase with the warmer...

GREEN MOULD/ALGAE AROUND THE EDGES OF THE CLEAR TAIL LIGHT L

I think the OP is referring to the clear lights on the rear of the my14 compared to the red rear lights on the my16. I've owned (leased) the my14 and currently have the my16 and neither had / have mould although the old car did trap water around the rear light cluster .

    Paying personal 'electric' miles

I do the same as Bob, I had a choice of fuel card where every mile was paid back by me out of my salary or I just expense business miles at the 13p rate. With the phev it makes better sense to just expense the business miles otherwise you'll be paying the fuelcad rate for electric miles.

Torque build up "off the line"

Hi all, I hope I can add to this, I've had the benefit of having both versions of the phev (my14 was a company car chosen for the tax perks, and when I recently changed jobs I bought a my16 because I couldn't go back to an old noisy oil burner!) Anyway the new car definitely pulls harder from...

    Fast charging

In response to Heydrive I can confirm that when I had the fast charge shutdown the normal operating procedures had been followed and the charge had completed. I posted the "fast charge - complete shutdown" topic a while ago and I think I was one of the first affected. I agree that user reset...

    Charging protocol

At least we're all part of the EV revolution I suppose - it's not as bad as the situation I had at the M4 services when I wanted a battery top up; there was a souped up Corsa parked in the charging bay with a couple of chavs tucking into a mcdonalds...I asked them politely if they would mind...

    Fast charge complete shutdown

I was a bit gobsmacked when he handed over the invoice -I told him i wasn't paying it! Essentially they are saying any issues caused by fast chargers are definitely not covered by warranty as it's 3rd party hardware... the guy from the dealer who gave me a lift home revealed that they know of...

    Fast charge complete shutdown

Milkfloat, Sorry to hear you had the same problem as me. Hopefully you will get the same result though; no damage to the system and all is needed is a reset. My dealer (Swindon) agreed to look at the issue but when I collected the car they presented me with a bill for £60 for the 45mins work...

    Fast charge complete shutdown

Happy to report that the car has had a re-boot and thorough check over - all systems operating normally. Phew! Waiting for reply from Ecotricity so if I get anything useful back from them will report it so we can all be better informed.

    Fast charge complete shutdown

Thanks all for thoughts and comments. I will update a post later today with Dealer findings so hopefully we're more informed about the risks of fast ChadEmo stations. I'm going email Ecotricity too for their thoughts. I'm not overly worried about battery damage as I've only fast charged 3 or 4...

    Fast charge complete shutdown

Hi all, New member here -had my gx4h for 2weeks now and love it, but have today had a serious issue with service station charging....I've charged successfully at Reading and Membury on the M4 but today tried Cherwell Valley on M40 near Bicester and although it charged ok, the car flashed up...
