    Split Gatorstrut

Thanks greendwarf, The car is at Mitsubishi at the moment for the struts to be changed as the front end is bouncing everywhere. But they have said the gaitors are split and will cost £899 for the parts only! They have added the gaitors as "optional" replacement. Regards ..... G

    Split Gatorstrut

Thanks for the answer. I thought they would be the simple rubber gaitors but the price seemed to be way to high. Mitsubishi Quote "Offside frontside gaterstruts are split - Part alone 889.20" Regards ..... G

    Split Gatorstrut

Hello, We have a 2014 PHEV in the UK and have been told that a GATORSTRUT is required for the front suspension because the original is split. Cost £890. Can anybody tell me what that is. Regards ..... G

Are my tyres an illegal type

Well all the other tyre fitters agree that any tyres can be fitted providing they are of the correct size etc. I did go onto the Kwik Fit site and filled in one of their complaint forms on Sunday but have had no response. Three new tyres are being fitted by another company tomorrow. Regards...

Are my tyres an illegal type

The man in Kwik Fit said that tyres other than Toyo or Yokohama would cause damage to the PHEV's batteries. Doesn't make much sense to me, except that the tyres I wanted to buy were £75 each and the one's he said were correct were £142 each. Regards ..... Gary.

Are my tyres an illegal type

I have just been to my local Kwik Fit for a set of tyres and, after looking at the tyres fitted to my car, they told me that I am driving with tyres that invalidate my insurance. My tyres are budget tyres and that's all I wanted to purchase but 2 men at KF said only 2 types of tyre are allowed...

    Petrol only mpg

The mpg figures I gave are real figures worked out by the milage covered and petrol actually put in the tank. We no longer use the onboard charging mode, the 3 cars are used purely as petrol vehicles as we cannot fit charge points at home or work. we spoke to a service manager at a mitsubishi...

    Petrol only mpg

Our company bought 3 of these PHEV's on the grounds that they don't need charging points because they have onboard generators. No 1 has a 12 mile run into London. No 2 has a 28 mile run into London. No 3 has a 25 mile run into London. All 3 are then used to run around London for the day and we...

    First Post - impressed

To be honest I have found that even nursing the car only gets about 32mpg. Mitsubishi should be sued for the outrageous claims they made! They actually said that you do not need charging points. One report says that a company car driver without access to charging points, who averages 300 miles...

    First Post - impressed

£22 petrol used for 1000 miles   My company was told there's no need for charging points 'cause the car's ICE charges the batteries : I'm getting approx 28mpg & my 2 associates are getting approx 25mpg  We have runs of about 25 miles into London & back. If we run the...

Not using charge when temp drops below 10 degrees

Have to agree with garymullen about salesmen. Our company just supplied me with a white GX3H after the salesman said it would do 148mpg without ever needing to be plugged in as it charges itself!! I travel 25 miles into London each day ( and back at night ) then drive around London during the...
