Thanks for all the replies. I visited the car dealer this morning and they said the carpet unclipped itself and rectified it on the spot. Now to enjoy the vehicle...

I am reading this to state there is just the floorpan below the carpet and no foam etc to hold the carpet up?!?

Whilst installing seat covers, I noticed that the carpet located under the drivers seat appears loose and only attached with Velcro to the front carpet section. If I push down on it a gaping hole appears! Is this normal?
