    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

I don't have "B" mode enabled. Just normal drive. This has not always happened. I've been driving it for 5 months and it's a dramatic change from one week ago even.

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

So I'm having similar experiences to @ptbuoy after the update. It's -2C which means I should be able to run in EV mode without issue but instead my engine is kicking on constantly. I'm not running in B mode. I don't have the defrost enabled. When I first get in the vehicle it operates like...

Struggling with this fast charging business

Someone mentioned it above and I agree. Mitsubishi's Chademo implementation is buggy. I haven't been able to get it to work across multiple chargers yet and the notes on Plugshare for those chargers state that they have issues with Mitsubishi vehicles.

    Lifetime Fuel Consumption

It doesn't have one. You have to use one of your trip settings for this. If you bought used all of the historical information from before is gone if they have ever reset the trip.

Cold Weather No-Start Work Around - Scheduled Warm Ups

Unfortunately that doesn't work for up here. If you don't have a garage, even if you are plugged in, it will fail once it goes 25C or colder for a few days. I'm taking mine to the dealer on Saturday for the update and will ask the service manager if they have further details. I think part of the...

Cold Weather No-Start Work Around - Scheduled Warm Ups

Someone on one of the forums said that the load from using the heater wouldn't cause enough draw to heat the batteries enough to matter. It's worth a shot but I feel like this would have been a simple fix for Mitsubishi if it would make a difference. They could just program some logic stating...

Full on conversation to CCS or NACS?

My 2024 has a screen where you can see the battery temperature on the console. That's where I check to see when it's too cold to use the battery.

Full on conversation to CCS or NACS?

It could be the batteries running too hot and unable to provide enough power. Have you checked the temperature after a Chademo charge?

Full on conversation to CCS or NACS?

It's not a plugshare charger, it's every charger in the area - different providers. It's possible it can't match, not sure. Plugshare is just a free app to view any charger in the area and add comments / let people know how long you will be. Edit: For reference, the one I checked was a Flo...

Full on conversation to CCS or NACS?

I have a feeling Mitsubishi's implementation of Chademo is screwy as well. There are only a few Chademo chargers with 200km of me and every one of them has notes on Plugshare that say they don't work with Mitisbishi Outlanders. I've personally tried one of them for testing and the charge light...

Full on conversation to CCS or NACS?

These are the ones I saw a couple weeks ago. Not sure if they have been tested or are safe, etc. https://a2zevshop.com/collections/chademo/products/dc-ccs1-to-chademo-adapter-125a-500v https://evniculus.eu/products/adapter-ccs2-to-chademo-for-nissan-leaf

Full on conversation to CCS or NACS?

There are some after market adapters out there that look like might work. I haven't heard of a conversion. I am surprised they are still putting the CHAdeMO port on the 2023 and 2024 models though.

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

EVs with battery heaters also tend to turn it off and on during the winter, even if they aren't plugged in, to keep the battery at a useable temperature. This reduces the overall range on average. They can't just pick a cool sunny day to do testing - it's got to be done in multiple conditions...

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

This is a new issue though and they've sold these in Canada for years. Previous models had the heater and they recognized it was required for some markets. If they aren't going to outfit it for Canadian winters they shouldn't sell it here.

    Outlander PHEV Sub-Zero Operation Question

My understanding is that it's an average through the year.
