Which Black? - Ruby or Amythest.

I also have the Ruby Black - gives a really nice contrast when the light strikes it at the right angle. Although most of the time it looks like plain black anyway. The paint itself is pretty poor though - as much reported on this forum, it is prone to stone chips and general scratches etc...

    Thin paint on the Phev

Only had my MY16 Ruby Black GX4 for a couple of months and it already several 'stone chips' - doesn't bode well for my four year contract! Is definitely much worse than my previous vehicle.

Torque build up "off the line"

I'm not sure it's the extra sound insulation - the noticeable difference is at low speed take off - say 0-30 in EV mode where the MY16 seems just a little more eager to go. I haven't driven either model aggressively enough to test the 0-100 time [yet]

Torque build up "off the line"

I can only offer anecdotal evidence but I have recently driven 4 PHEVs - 2 x MY15 and 2 X MY16 [including a 4 day back to back test] - and I can say that that the MY16 models were noticeable more eager off the line! Interested in anyone else had the same experience?

New Member - Feedback From 1st 4000 miles

New Member - Feedback From 1st 4000 miles

1st post so I thought I'd start with some ramblings from 2 months driving my MY2016 GX4h around the hills of Yorkshire. Should also say that I 'traded down' my company car from a 5 series BMW - yes, to save a few £ on BIK but also to get a 4WD and I work in energy efficiency so I have a...
