That would make sense. I'll hold off until mid-December when they hopefully have some back in stock! I'm going to pay them a visit soon, I've yet to go to one. We have a Bookers Cash and Carry - got 12 packs of 36 rolls for £1.92! Guy on the till scanned the barcode for one of the inner packs...

I gave Costco a phone today - never actually been there, but I'm equidistant between 2. They do stock the Crossclimates in my size (£691.12 for the set), although they won't have any until mid-December. Really weird I can't find this size anywhere else though - guessing stocks must be low all...

So, been doing some research on the tyres. I think I've narrowed it down to the Conti LX2 or the Michelin CrossClimate. I'm leaning slightly towards the CrossClimates. I can find the LX2s pretty easily, but can't find anywhere that has the CrossClimates in the correct size. I saw the CostCo...

Thanks for the replies all! Ill steer away (oh dear...) from winter tyres in that case then. Doesn't really get too cold for long in the UK anyway I suppose. Ill add those tyres to my list. Thanks for the pointer towards that thread, I'll have a look. I'm conflicted about the matching - I'm...

    Tyre recommendations

Hi all, Looking at getting some new tyres. Wife had a sidewall puncture away from home and didn't want to risk driving back with a leaky tyre - chose to not use the can of sealant in the boot. Tyre fitter she pulled into only had 1 tyre, so there was no choice. Anyway, an amount of money later...

    Eco turns on the engine?

Not seen this one before. I'm in the car, in a car park waiting for the wife to finished buying clothes - she's only just nipping in... Almost no battery left, car was in eco, I'm at with the air con on. Suddenly the engine turns on, that's normal I suppose if the battery has depleted too...

Super versus Standad Unleaded Petrol: Discuss

Not sure if this is useful info or not. I used to drive about 130 miles a day in my old petrol Rav4 - filled up every other day. I alternated between the cheapest fuel, and premium fuel every week to see if it made any difference. I repeated this for about months. Whilst I don't have the...

Type 1 charging socket/cable very tight

I thought mine was tight when we got it, and it seemd to be the case for whatever cable we used. I looked at the port on the car side on, and it's not perpendicular to the car. The port is at an upward angle. So, after realising this, we plug in at a matching angle and it fits smoothly. Don't...

    Email from CYC

It's funny, because if you look at their announcement on the 20th January 2017, the specifically state that they will not impose an admin fee, and that "free means free". Check out your old email about it / their own website! I emailed them about it - no reply! It does however mean that using...

    Looking at buying used

Just wanted to update everyone that helped that we did in the end find one we liked! Got a gunmetal GX4HS for what we thought was an OK price. Been driving it a few weeks, really happy with it!

Remote App problems with Samsung j5 2016

I recently got a new phone (Google Pixel). Turns out I had to manually turn off mobile data before opening the app, and then it worked. Android really likes being connected to the internet, so I guess it notices that the car's wifi has no internet connection. Hope this helps.

    Nougat niggle

Thanks for the help in this thread! Couldn't figure out why it wouldn't connect. Shame about not being able to disable data automatically. Hopefully they'll update the app. On the subject of the app, there are 3 or 4 ones on the Play Store. What's the difference?

Must have imagined it then! I agree the leaf display is pointless. Much like the tree display in the Nissan!

    Looking at buying used

Just a follow up: Picked up a nice gunmetal grey GX4HS. We were going for the GX4H, but this one came along at the same price! Really happy with it. Did a 120 mile journey home - more than enough time to get a feel for it. It's certainly not clean with the motorways as filthy as they were last...

    Looking at buying used

Thanks for the replies all - some things to watch out for there. Shame the paint seems so thin, same on the LEAF - anything scratches it! I've got a Bluetooth OBDII adaptor that I use in the LEAF to check the battery, I'll have a look into that app closer to the time. Worth checking out. For...

    Looking at buying used

Hi guys, So, the lease on our LEAF is coming to an end with only 18 days to go. We still think the Outlander is great, and there are a fair number on the used market. Every car we have ever bought has been used, usually around the 7-10 year old mark - the LEAF was an exception on a PCP. And...

To consume old fuel, refuel 15L or more...

When we went to test drive one, the dealer said that it needed to consume 15L, rather than refill with 15L. I laughed. That'd definitely ruin your fuel economy!

    Looking at buying used

That's good news then, they don't mind being stored at 30% so I've read. The LEAF has a lot less in reserve! The guy we spoke to didn't know anything about EVs really - he asked us questions though, so they were at least open minded I suppose. I asked Mitsubishi if we could have a longer then 10...
