Is your car fitted with an Cobra alarm? Most likely you hav a round button with a red led on the dash? They cause this problem frequently. I had a 2014 with such a system.

No problem! I bought a cable on Ali with 3 extension ports. Popped out the original, connected it with the new Male and popped on of the new ones in the original odb2 port holder. I have on: 1 the obd2 plug for Watchdog, 2 the GSM track and trace, 3 The dashcam power provider via obd2

No, you can't afterfit a wifi module I guess. BTW, on the second hand market scrap models go for about 600 euro. There are quite a few cars out of warranty and via Mitsubishi the cost to replace it is about 1100 euro. Check if there are unused cables. The device is changed under warranty 4...
