    Android Remote App Problems

Just bought a new (old) tablet off Amazon for £50 with Android at 7.1 (all my new phones are at 8), connected first time to the App (I use Phev1 as only a 10 digit SSID code). Only issue I have now is it likes the car wifi so much that my location services suffer to only being GPS and not wifi...

What is the best electric tariff to be on in the uk

I just used USwitch and got EON fixed for a year cheaper than they could offer me direct, about 14.9 pence a unit but I use Solar to offset the charging during the day. My charging cost is between 17p a day (sunny) and £1.09 (grey and overcast) and it is adding about £15 a month to my usual bill.

Charging cable fault - Mitsubishi not honouring warranty

As it is leased and you are concerned about the plug, get any friendly electrician to fit a plug for you and provide an invoice for a 'professional installation', you are then covered. I do doubt they would notice either way as some lease companies seem genuinely surprised the car can be charged...

Can I retrofit the new CarPlay unit to a 2014 PHEV?

With the MMCS there is a Can Bus connector for the EV and economy info does any one know whether the can bus connector on the car end would be available on a 3h+ so it could display this info if a gx4 head unit was installed? otherwise a straight android head unit for half the price is looking...

    Pre Heating Without the App

3h+ (2016) definitely has pre heating/cooling from the App so can't understand why the Juro doesn't as it is a higher spec, is there an SSID card in the user manual?

    When to NOT use electric...

Water fuelled would be a great concept, I wonder how they could tax that, maybe a condensation charge!!

Question: Any one moved from BMW X3/X5 to Outlander 2017/18

I had the X5 two cars before the PHEV (MY2016). Driving position is very similar although the PHEV is narrower so less room in the middle between the front seats although the smaller bolsters mean rear seat space is better in the PHEV. Driving wise, the raw acceleration of the 3 litre diesel and...

Towbar wiring loom under bonnet attachment

Had my towbar installed (MY2016) last weekend and the bonnet was not raised during the process all the connections were made in the boot area, with the majority of the plastics in there being removed, the towing loom was just plugged in to the car loom at that point (It definitely wasn't long...

    Reverse Sensors not as expected

The towbar and electrics are the same ones that the dealers fit for MY2016 car, the reversing sensors do not connect to the Can Bus but are fitted standalone, I know I can switch them off when towing but thought it strange that this was the spec of the car as supplied by Mitsubishi.

    Reverse Sensors not as expected

Just had a towbar fitted, towsure item with vehicle specific wiring to ensure the warranty was not affected by cutting and splicing. The man fitting it on the handover said all good but the car will not turn off the reversing sensors with a trailer as your sensors are after market and not...

Oil Warning Light and Oil Level

The quickest way to eliminate beeps and bongs on start up is to make sure you have your seat belt on when you press the button, with it undone it sounds like a 1970's clock radio, with it done up I get one beep...unless I try to select drive too quickly then I get two beeps...and yesterday found...

New tyres and EV warning light

On conventional 4WD there is an issue of drivetrain wind up when the rotation of the rear axle is different to the front axle, some of this can be compensated for using a differential between the axles. Differing tyre circumferences can exasperate the issue, my old Kia Sorento was sensitive to...

    The dog friendliest car?

There is a photo of a PHEV doing the rounds on Facebook for the owners leaving the dogs in it (Wadebridge Area), there is no discussion on whether the vehicle may be able to keep its aircon on, just the usual comments about 'smashing the windows' and 'calling the police' so despite the ability...

    best obd adapters

Got the Vgate Icar V3 as it was recommended on the PHEV Watchdog site, works perfectly and puts itself to sleep if not being used (has a button on the front face to turn it back on). It is really slim and can only just be seen at the bottom of the dashboard as I bought an orange one as they were...

Can I retrofit the new CarPlay unit to a 2014 PHEV?

I've got a 2016 and wondering the same about the head unit (I have the 3h+ so have to use the app anyway), I was also wondering whether if I download the app to an android headunit I could connect this to the car wifi and have the app running inside the car, has anyone tried this?

Turn Off Warning Light Comes onWhile Driving

Not sure if you have open/closed your boot in a while I had this at the weekend and it turned out the boot was closed but not completely, no indication it was open either. One good close later, no more indications (or BEEPS)

    Outlander PHEV II Remote App

Mine was on a small card in the Leather Service Book and User guide holder and had also been written in to the Service Book front page. Failing that the Dealer can get you a copy (no charge)

PHEV Remote App and Android 6.0

My MY16 car uses the PHEV App (as I only have the 10 digit password and a handbrake lever), but it will not connect using a Samsung S8 with Android 8, I have managed to connect to it using an old tablet (Android 6) with no issues. I have tried every combination of data on/off/ wifi on/off...

    Anyone using a Zappi charger?

How did the Zappi installation go, do you have solar panels? How much did it cost after the OLEV grant? Am seriously looking at this product as I am currently using the car timer to manage the solar charging and have to constantly change the timer settings to adjust for non sunny days!

    Service warning messages

Definitely worth checking the Aux Battery. My previous hybrid came up with the most worrying list of error messages and warnings, regarding brakes, ECU, servicing, ABS etc because the Aux Battery was below par, even the AA man who boosted the battery couldn't believe how many messages a simple...
