Vibrating humming audible from front region of vehicle

I had it after a few thousand miles in 2018. It happened once in a while so hopefully I can reproduce it at next dealer test drive. I will also bring your responses to see if they will buy it. Thanks. Let me know if the sound will go away after the fix.

Vibrating humming audible from front region of vehicle

I experienced the same humming/roaring noises too for my 2018 PHEV. My next service won't be for another 5,000 miles. Let me know what you find out so I can tell the dealer. The noises are gone at high speed.

Bad Alignment after 22k miles for 2018 Outlander PHEV

I usually get alignment check every time I got new tires which are usually 30k to 50k miles. For a one year old outlander, that's bad and I don't go offroad. BTW most dealers in LA got alignment machine for this kind of work but they charge a bundle like $200 so I used the local mechanic for $50.

Bad Alignment after 22k miles for 2018 Outlander PHEV

Our 2018 outlander PHEV's OEM Toyo tires got really bad at the rear driver side tire with 22k miles due to bad alignment. We got a new set of 4 Michelin Premier, some $820 from Costco after discount of $150. Also got the alignment done at local mechanic for $50. Very disappointed with...

buying highmile with recent battery 'birthday'

At least the seller was honest by telling you the reset of battery but still I won't buy it.

    Servicing cost

In LA, it costs only $50 for oil change in dealer. :D

    Brake discs

It seems like some of you needs new brake pads at 30k or 60k. So it is good to know that I should periodically check the brake when rotating tires. My 2012 Lexus CT200h is still on original brake pads at 80K miles but then Toyota has a different design than Outlander PHEV.

    Transmission service for PHEV??

In the US, it's against the law to void the warranty for DIY, even though I use the dealer for regular oil change anyway. By the time I need spark plug change, the warranty is over at 100k miles.

Help Please - EV system service required

Do you have a home battery charger to check the 12v battery? Could be a bad 12V battery.

    Transmission service for PHEV??

I am used to conventional ICE engine. Where & how can you check the color of the so called tranny oil in this hybrid car? It's too early now at 20,000 miles but would like to check it around 60k or 100k when I change spark plugs & coolant fluid.

    outlander PHEV routine maintenance

From the manual, you only need oil change every 7.5k miles, air filter and cabin AC filter every 15k or so miles. Brake fluid service at 45k. coolant service at 60k. The rest are just checking. I changed the 2 filters myself with dealer parts & it took about 10 min. OIL change at dealer in...

    Transmission service for PHEV??

Exactly my point, what transmission? There is no transmission stick at the hood like the good old ICE engine. There are 2 motors, generator, 2L engine and coolant. The manual states only oil change every 7,500 miles and brake fluid change at 45k till 100k. The dealer's advisor was just...

    Transmission service for PHEV??

Is transmission service required for the 2018 PHEV?? I read the maintenance manual and no where does it require transmission service. It only require spark plug & coolant service around 120K miles. Is the dealer lying when he said transmission service at 30k miles?? I went in for oil change...

    Would you still buy it?

Most EV's batteries are made by Panasonic anyway.

    Tailgate operation

It's one of the stupid design by Mitsubishi. The dealer showed me that you have to hold the key button for a few seconds twice to make it work. That button has mood, I am telling you.

    Headlight removal

Most modern day headlight housing change requires removal of the front bumper. I had done it for Both Acura MDX & Lexus CT200h. They are pain in the A##. and be very gentle with the brittle plastic rivets/clips of the bumper.

Some cosmetic upgrades for 2018 Outlander PHEV

The rear spoiler I got was OEM from the dealer....$240. It involved drilling holes! into the new outlander so it is not going anywhere. The Chinese aftermarket spoiler although look bigger only use 3m adhesive...not sure I want that...

Some cosmetic upgrades for 2018 Outlander PHEV

Finally got the time to install the OEM led sill plates at the front. It's a pain in the a##. The manufacturer did not pre-wire the hardness for the lighted sill plates so I got to follow the instruction and tapped into the ECU & door switch. It took me 3 hours because lots of panels to...

    Kuga to Outlander..views please!

This is our first plug-in (2018 PHEV) and will never go back to regular ICE or hybrid. For the 12KW, it costs $1.20 to charge overnight at home that run for 22 miles which is almost a gallon of fuel. Do the math, at over $4/gallon, we can save $2.80 per day which is about $1000 per year so it...

    Runnig Board for the PHEV

It doesn't fit the Outlander PHEV because of the muffler at the passenger side so don't order it. I have to return the running board. The listing is misleading.
