Charging a UK car in France

What's the consensus on charging a UK car, with a UK EVSE 3-pin, plugged into a French wall socket with a simple UK-France adapter plug? Is there any danger of damage to the car or the outlet that it's plugged in to, or is this simply a big no no? Many thanks in advance

Seems we're getting a bad rep.

Ecotricity recently singled out Outlander drivers on Twitter. This little piece also popped up earlier: https://transportevolved.com/2015/02/03/plug-cars-hit-roads-inconsiderate-use-public-charging-provision-rise/ A tad prejudice?

    Save Mode V Charge Mode

At the weekend I had a 120 mile motorway journey then after the motorway a 20 mile drive on a 40mph limit to get home. When I joined the motorway I set the cruise control at 70 and hit save mode. I had 10 EV range left and wanted to keep that for the 40mph limit road, where it would last longer...

Who drives with the radio off?

I could never drive any more than five minutes without having something to listen to, however, with the PHEV I find I want to run with the radio off most off the time. I think it must be the novelty of driving silently. Has anyone else experienced this?

    USB Music Interuptions

When I try and playback music from a USB memory stick I experience interruptions, something like how a dirty CD would sound. I've tried all the files in case one had become corrupted but they're all the same and playback on a PC is perfect. The screen display is all correct and I can see and...

    Hands free and speaker question.

Should I be hearing the hands free from only the near side speaker? Not much of an issue really, just curious. Thanks in advance.

UK Breakdown Cover & Flat Tyre

Hypothetical situation: You've got the standard UK roadside assist cover that comes with the car. If you get a flat tyre would you call the breakdown number in the hope they could attend and repair the tyre at the roadside or would you try the repair kit in the boot, potentially knacking they...

    Motorway Driving and Save Mode

Let me ask a daft question. I understand it's more efficient for the car to be in parallel mode at motorway speeds and I've read posts that advocate using 'Save Mode' when driving on the motorway. I understand this is to stop using battery power as the engine is more efficient at higher...

    Hello from a Newbie

Hi everyone I had a test drive yesterday in a white GX4hs at my local dealer and they also had a blue GX4h unregistered with zero miles in stock and ready to go, so I made a bit of an impulse buy and I'm picking it up on September 1st. Seemed to be a bit of a result as I've read that others are...
