Wifi Dead After Recall 020158 - Remote Security Reflash

Plenty of instructions on here and Mitsubishi website for deleting registrations. Involves hazard lights and 20 pushes of the fob.

    Let's go pure EV...

Hi All. PHEV Box is installed and working. Unfortunately Mr Vtech's English is well below par so the installation and usage instructions are hard to follow. It would have been so much easier if the English was better. Anyways, his English is better than my Polish so I shouldn't complain. I have...

    Let's go pure EV...

Thanks for your input Anko. I have just placed an order for the box so let's see how it goes. I agree with your comments that it would depend on how you drive the car. I drive my car within the battery range about 80% of the time so something like this box will hopefully be very beneficial for...

    Let's go pure EV...

As price has come down from $1000aud to $400aud, I'm thinking of giving this one a try on my 2014 PHEV. Hard to believe a lot of people on here complaining about $400! Seriously, this VTech goes and puts a lot of time and effort into figuring stuff out, videos, wiring with expensive plugs from...

Wifi Dead After Recall 020158 - Remote Security Reflash

Timbot this is crazy. I had my PHEV ZJ aspire recall work done at Toowong Mitsubishi in September and exactly the same problem. I had a lot of trouble with them that I had to take it back 3 times before the problem was sorted which was a total waste of my annual leave. 1. After recall service...

If you have the car with the 15A plug on the charger (like me), the easiest thing to do is just cut the earth pin down to size. All you need is a hacksaw and a marker pen. Get a standard 10A plug so you can get a gauge for the size, mark this on the 15A earth pin and cut with hacksaw. Of course...

    PHEV off road not good!

https://youtu.be/LO5IEISadd8 I concur, on the standard Toyo tires there isn't a lot of traction. My video at the link above.

Ha! Would have been no chance. It was all rock and slippery as hell, even in the dry. There was even a steeper section later on that I had to reverse up as couldn't get up going forward! Unfortunately the wife's temper was far past taking videos at that point.

A little weekend fun north of Brisbane in the PHEV. Wasn't planned and luckily didn't end up spending the night in the forest. https://youtu.be/LO5IEISadd8

Sweet deal. Most of us paid $12k+ more than that back in 2014. Guess that's the price of being an early adopter. Hope you're enjoying it. I'm really used to mine now that the save button is second nature. Probably not as energy savvy as I was when I first bought it, however the efficiency is...

Hey, that is a hard one. Going to be hard to install a power point that isn't on your property. You would have to go through owners and body corporate as well. Depending on how long you want to stay there you could look into it, however I would just move the next time your lease runs out to...

    DC Charge Retrofit

We pay enough for the car over here you think they would have just left it in. Anyways I reckon they saved a few bucks on hardware so decided to leave it out. You would first have to work out what hardware you required. Start taking things apart and see what is missing. Apart from the socket...

With the present size of the battery pack it probably isn't worth bothering with a 13A charger for the PHEV. 5 hours vs 3 to 3.5 hours. Mitsubishi now has a 10A plug on the charger and I reckon this would be a good point for prospective buyers.

Hey Winginit, Welcome. I paid ~$52k for Aspire with all accessories for mine new a year ago, so somewhere around $40k awesome. First port of call would be your local dealer. Go see what they can do and tell them about deals you have seen elsewhere and I'm sure they will get in the ball park and...

Man, $43k is ridiculously cheap for a new Aspire. Almost worth buying a second! The one for $37k doesn't look to be an Aspire though. I definitely recommend the Aspire model.

At the end of the day it depends on your circumstances. I can understand that if you are renting or moving soon then you may not want to install a new power point. 10A is all you need to supply the charger with. However if using an extension cable I would recommend going with a 1.5mm2 15A rated...

Hi Angela, Good to hear from another fellow PHEV owner from Brisbane. I have probably made 5 or so sightings over the past year in Brisbane. I have seen Light blue, Dark Blue and White getting around. Every time I see an Outlander my wife and I look for the tell tale EV logo on the side or...

http://www.myoutlanderphev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1531&start=20 I have also just posted my Queensland road trip (tacked onto gwatpe's post) at the link above. Outlander performed well and averaged 8.2L/100km. Also spotted another PHEV Aspire in Longreach QLD! Crazy stuff.

    Australian ROAD TRIP.

Sorry to hijack the thread however I thought I would also post my recent road trip from Brisbane - Townsville - Mt Isa - Longreach - Brisbane up for interest to reinforce fuel figures that people are getting. After returning home I haven't filled up and thus the Roma - Brisbane leg is not in the...
