    Battery again

I just replaced the aux bat on my late 2017. When I was listening to the stereo with 'ignition' set to aux for around 10 minutes, I noticed a low 11.someting reading on PHEV watchdog. Dropped in a yellow top Optima (mentioned in another thread). And did a capacity measurement of the old bat...

    Blinking brake light (2019 PHEV)

I have seen partial or complete failures on led rear light assemblies quiet often. So first thing I would check is the voltage at the connector of the rear light brake signal. Fuse probably not the cause

What 12-volt battery for 2015 Outlander

I just installed a yellow Optima YTR2.7BCID51R drop in replacement

    12v Auxiliary Battery rapid discharge

I am also about to replace the aux bat on mine. Already bought a Bosch FLA but yeah the thought of acid spraying around when getting rear ended is not so nice... Is the Optima YT a drop in replacement?

What I would change about my PHEV after 12,000km

I would be sooooo happy if the car had a working ACC... Because what Mitsubishi built does not deserve the word 'working'. The distance settings are ridiculous and the way it works too. Speeds towards head up traffic, then slams on the brake... And stays on the brake forever. My BMW slows down...

Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

Hot / binding brakes? Other mechanical issue?

Will the drive battery discharge to zero if removed from the vehicle or without auy 12V?

that sounds promising - a few guys had problems with their Smart EQs - a failing aux battery taking the drive battery with it - although the real cause is still in the dark. btw: just found an interesting post-2019 traction pack, few kms... The battery enclosure suffered some damage but seller...

‘Charge mode’ - is that bad for the battery?

I am afraid we are talking about different operation scenarios here. It appears to me that you describe the normal operation mode with juice left in the drive battery and the ice just kicking in to assist in phases of high power demand. I describe the scenario of running the car long distance...

‘Charge mode’ - is that bad for the battery?

Maybe I should have written more to my 'let the car decide' answer. The car will not suffer damage if you just use it as an ordinary hybrid (without plugging it in or charging by charge button). When cruising in normal mode at moderate highway speeds, at least my 2017 Outlander charges the...

Will the drive battery discharge to zero if removed from the vehicle or without auy 12V?

Hello forum, I am passively looking for a used 2019ff drive battery. From another of our electric vehicles (the Smart EQ), I read that if the aux 12V bat is removed from the car, the traction pack will discharge completely (rendering it useless) within a few weeks. This may be a safety...

What I would change about my PHEV after 12,000km

It's an old discussion, but nevertheless I want to add that: I always get a full charge when picking up one of our Outlanders or any of our other electric vehicles (BMW i3s, Peugeot e-Traveller, Street Scooter Work, Smart EQ, Mazda MX-30) from service at an authorized garage I rarely get a full...

3 Unsuccessful DBCAMs in a row + weird readings. I need your input guys, I am doing something wrong.

My understanding of traction batteries is (but please correct me if I am wrong) they get charged until the end of charge voltage is reached (the cells are full @ 4.1 Volt) they get discharged until the end of discharge voltage is reached (the cells are empty @ 2.something Volt but the car only...

auxiliary 12 V dead while parking outdoor 2023 PHEV

If you don't have a charging opportunity then a PHEV may not be the best suited vehicle. However, there is no need to charge the traction battery with the combustion engine. Just let the car decide when to use gasoline and when to run on electricity. Charging the traction battery by using the...

‘Charge mode’ - is that bad for the battery?

Hi, if you don't charge it from the grid, just let the car decide... That is unless you do a short ride, failed to switch to ev in time and want to give the icengine some extra warm up time...
