4WD system does not work, I chase Mitsu for solution.

I got adv. from Mitsu in Sweden some days ago, they state "improved 4-wheel drive" on the adv. I can post it if someone can update me again on post photos on this forum. I have asked Mitsu what they have "improved" on the new ones, and when they will upgrade our old non function ones. Also...

    Average fuel consumption frustration!

I use an app, spritmonitor, enter every refuling, takes 10 sec, and then you have all data you want, and also date when last refuled so you can see when it closes into the 3 months and you will get the "Burning old fuel" mode.

Idea to stop ICE from starting when cold

You can have the ACC on, but set to 15 ´C(don´t know F), you will have the fan working to demist, but the ICE will not start, 15,5´C and the ICE will start(if the delta is more that 10´C in Eco mode, 3´C in normal, I Think.) This is works for the 2016 model.

Ha, Ha , Ha! Tesla calls that a trailer, I call it a handbag.

4WD system does not work, I chase Mitsu for solution.

Very interesting! We manage to devide the owners of the PHEV into two teams. Team one, 5% of the PHEV users think i am right and the 4WD does not functon or performe as advertised, and Mitsu have to improve. Thanks steepndepp! Team two, 95% of the PHEV users, think I am stupid to even imagine...

4WD system does not work, I chase Mitsu for solution.

One front and one back, i can not tell right or left, to dangerous to go out and check :-) What i am trying to tell is that the answer from Mitsu i got to make sure to have the batteries fully charged, to get the most out of the 4WD, is ridiculous, The power and torque from one e-motor is...

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

Anko, you should never, never, never believe in what i am saying My wife boubt all the time after 20+ years! What is the new statemet from Trumph "Alternative facts", thats what i go for.

4WD system does not work, I chase Mitsu for solution.

All, thanks for all interesting teoretical information, also some ideas about tyres. About my first statement, my standpoint is still: I will be satisfied, and it will be MY! problem when all 4 wheels is spinning, if not, it is the cars problem. If Mitsu states 4WD, i expect it to be. I will...

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

It is important to work activley with the save button to have the ICE to run att the correct times, If you know you are going to turn 500 meters ahead, turn of the ICE and use very Little Power from the battery, and use up to B5 before the turn, after the turn accelerate with the ICE not...

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

Yes, we still discussing the efficiency, or actually not the efficiency, but to extend the km per liter of fuel, this has not to do with only efficiency, there is alot of other factors involved. Therefore my statement is still that you should avoid using the ICE when it has not the possibility...

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

I do not think the graph is correct, with your statement abowe, i get the 1:1 ratio to 70km/h will result in a RPM of app 1850. The graph shows app 160Nm at this RPM, and this is not possible for our Engine, or have i missed something i develompent of new gas engines.

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

I know, but that is what you said te graph shows, thats why i did not believe the graph. So, what does the graph then shows?
  14. M

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

If so, i dont delieve the graph, sorry! I think you will get the Nobel price! :-) if you can get a 2.0 liter petrol engine, without turbo, to deliver 140 Nm at 1500 RPM, what will be the case at 40km/h, or even lower. Or am i stupid and not get it correct?

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

What does this graph shown, drive resistance?, but this has nothing to do with Engine RPM. This can not be when the engine is also connected with the wheels if the lower numbers are km/h.
  16. M

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

A petrol engine is not most efficient at highest RPM, it is most efficient where you have the highest torque. It is high up in the RPM for a petrol car, but not at the top, and lower for diesels. Therefore I will burn less fuel/km, as you see I am NOT talking about effciency, I am talking about...

4WD system does not work, I chase Mitsu for solution.

Was confused with the price, checked on the car, I have Goodride SU318 245/65-17, cheep tyres, I can buy them here for 625SEK/pcs, estimated 60 Euro/each.

4WD system does not work, I chase Mitsu for solution.

Sorry!, i forgot to answer. The PHEV has Nokian Hakka R unstudded Winter tyres 225/50-18, very expensive. The ML has the cheepes M+S approved unstudded tyres, Roadstone 245/60-17.

Optimum driving modes, electric, ICE and recharge

I have made some tests, and this is what works the best for me. I usually do not use the car for very long trips, usually i can manage with just electric, but if i know i will drain my battery this is what makes my consumption the lowest. I Always start with full battery, all roads below 70km/h...

4WD system does not work, I chase Mitsu for solution.

Back again!, a weekend in the forrest, but this time the PHEV did not have to pull the trailer with the wheel loader. I have read most of your comments, i agree, and disagree. I have purchased a 4WD car, and i expect it to function as a 4WD, if not mitsu has to inform me. Some notes states that...
