They seem to be considerably cheaper than others I have seen (Not necessarily a good thing, I know!)

If you use these, do you then remove or disconnect the current bulb used for DRL?

Didn't you try Halo DRL'S?
They'll suit your vehicle,and you dont need to modify anything.
Just take a look at it.......

It'll be nice if you could fit it on the inner side of the headlamp plastic.
