Re: What CAN I tow with PHEV

We are achieving between 26.5/28.5 UK mpg towing a 1500kg caravan in the UK, your figures converted to UK 18.83 UK mpg @ 59.03mph I have trouble believing that you only add 30% more fuel to almost double the weight AND stuff up aerodynamics? You seem to defy the laws of physics and a lot of other p...

Re: What CAN I tow with PHEV

I suspect the OEM hitch is quite capable of 1500kg, but for some reason Mitsubishi decided to de-rate the system in North America. I doubt you would have any issues with a tent trailer. Just keep it in Charge Mode when towing, according to other threads in this forum. The PHEV is designed to be a l...

Re: Micro Battery Jump Starter?

may not happen if the battery is dead and not capable of accepting the charge. My 12V is 6 years old now, and I've noticed that the RR drops by about 3km after 2pm (PHEV's automated 12v recharge timeslot), so I suspect the 12V is needing quite a bit of charge every day. I need to remember to check ...

Re: Micro Battery Jump Starter?

I'm thinking of buying a Ring RPPL200 Micro Car Battery Jump Starter just in case my 7 year old PHEV 12v battery decides to die on me without warning - as I believe the 12v battery can do when it gets a bit aged. I have been thinking the same thing as I'm still on my original 12v PHEV battery (its ...

Re: Car off and locked but beeping from inside

Have noticed this a couple of times now. I have 2016 facelift 5hs and noticed a beeping sound when car is turned off and locked. Any ides what this could be? i.e low battery warning? Its the "warning" that the 12V battery is about to be charged. Happens 2pm every day (I see your cam says 2:15pm, no...

Re: mystery navigation symbol

Can anyone tell me what the symbol is that is indicated in the attached photo. It comes up each time an instruction is given as I approach a junction.nav symbol.jpg Its simply letting you know that if you push the button just to the side of the speedo module (button that looks like a pile of credit...

Re: Tow torque when starting

Any solution to this? Or does the PHEV just not have very much torque starting out. I would have thought it should have the ability to start the rated towing weight on a hill, and this little boat it way under that weight. Try putting blocks under the trailer wheels and rolling back onto them. Or t...

The present one being 7 years old, with 150.000 km on the clock.
Enjoy the new ride!
What is the SOH of your old PHEV (assuming you still have the original battery)?

Re: Where is the WiFi module located?

Does anyone know where the WiFi module is located? I was looking here http://mmc-manuals.ru/manuals/outlander_iii/online/Service_Manual_2013/2014/70/html/M170100050222100ENG.HTM but couldn't find it. Is it part of some other module? Maybe is incorporated in the Hands free/Bluetooth ECU located unde...
