Re: Electric only range

No, not a battery heating cycle.

If someone has set heating timers up, to heat the car, this will use up your battery.

Re: Electric only range

The usual question:

Is the weather colder?

Temperature affects battery performance.

Re: New front discs at 34,000 miles? (55,000 km in new money)

My dealer complains because my disks and pads are still new, showing no wear.

Of course people who are more knowledgeable than me will explain that using the brakes rather than setting the regenerative levels via the paddles is exactly the same, and this can't happen.

Re: Burning smell, loss if battery, return car?

Yeahp, you were caught in exactly the same way as me. That's actually the function of the timers, you can set the car to pre-heat or pre-cool at any time of day you like. So that you return to a warm or cool car as you see fit. In my case the car was set to Heat up at 7 pm every night, and again at ...

Re: Burning smell, loss if battery, return car?

I'm one of the people that was caught by a previous owner's (or dealers fiddling) heating schedule. However once fixed it is no longer a problem. From my usage, the battery holds its charge very well when the car is just sitting unused, even after several days, the battery level hasn't decreased muc...

Re: No WIFI Signal - WIFI Reset not possible

I notice that your steps leave out; 'make sure all the doors and windows are closed' Note that the car has to be 'Ready' before you start the procedure (i.e. must press the brake pedal before pressing start) and the ten alternate clicks must be completed within 10 seconds of the start button being p...

Re: Burning smell, loss if battery, return car?

If the battery is losing that much charge overnight, I'd guess that the heater is running. Check all the settings in the MMCS (the touch screen) and look for timer settings. It's possible that someone has left it configured to heat up every night or every morning etc. The burning smell is usually sp...

Re: Backlights for window lock, folding mirrors and it or adjustment knob and locks

Hi there, these questions have been asked before. 1. No there is no back light behind those buttons. 2. Range is dependent on the outside temperature and the way the car has been driven, it will take a while to accurately predict your range. 3. Using the different regenerative braking modes is entir...

Re: About to purchase, couple questions pls

It's a standard fitting on the top models, but an optional extra on the lower models.

It's always possible that a dealer would remove it and then try to sell it to you as an accessory.
