Re: Battery mileage

PS. I think we've had one member that was driving with the hand/emergency brake on.

They hadn't realised that the handle has to be all the way down to parallel (with the floor) before the brake is completely off.

(I'm not 100% certain that was on this forum)

Re: Battery mileage

OK. Given all of the above, I'd like to repeat the recommendation that you check the brakes. Other forum members have had problems with sticking calipers, and this significantly reduces the range. The easiest way to check, walk around the car after a trip and hold your hand near (not on) the hubs/di...

Re: Battery mileage

Remember, the guessometer doesn't tell you how far you can go on a charge, it's just a guess. From the information you've given, it sounds like you are charging most of the time, this will also confuse the guessometer, because it is trying to work out how far you'll get before you need to charge aga...

Re: Battery mileage

There are a huge range of factors that affect range. The most common is driver behaviour, rapid acceleration and hard braking will reduce range. (I think we've had a poster who discovered that their son was driving the car like a 'boy-racer' and the guessometer was accurately reflecting the result o...

Re: Cold Weather Performance - North American 2023

I'm wondering if 'EV mode' may be affecting the heater functions.

My version of the car has an 'Eco mode' which does also affect heating and cooling. (I think)

Re: Sudden change in drive characteristics

Had you been through any particularly wet or muddy conditions?

I'm wondering if the ABS/AWC sensors may have become dirty.

Re: Cold Weather Performance - North American 2023

When you say running in EV mode, do you mean that you are making a selection to force the car to run in that mode?

Re: Petrol Cap Rubber Washer/Seal

Hiya!

Here in Oz there is a chain called 'Clarke Rubber' which is the go to for anything like this.

Fridge seals, O rings, boat rollers, etc. etc. etc.

Hopefully you'll have something similar near you.

5.8 kilometers per one hundred litres?

I assume that you're using a jet engine and took one fortieth of a second to get there!

:D

PS. Best typo ever!

Re: 2023 North American

At the end of the charging cycle, there is a 'cell leveling' stage...

I think that's what you're seeing there.
