Oil life?

I have a 2020 model. Bought it new in US. I'm wondering if I should adjust my oil change interval based on how much EV vs ICE driving I do.

Is there a way to determine this ratio?

(Aware that making changes might jeopardize warranty)

Re: Battery Charge/Save Buttons

So i have a question on this... If you are on a long highway trip, and you want to be prepared with some EV range for stop and go traffic at the end, and you cannot plug in except at the end, is it better to run the battery down and recharge with the Charge button? Or is it better to use Save to hol...

Re: Best economy for motorway drive

Agreed that there is probably no clear winner when you are taking long trips. In my case, I like to keep the battery at least half charged or so because I never know when I am going to hit bad traffic... and of course, I try to reach home with an empty battery.

Re: Advice for a long drive

Don't forget that the charging gets less efficient as the battery gets above 60%, so the ICE might not be able to run in its most efficient envelope. So I do much the same as you, except that I switch to SAVE if the battery gets too full. I agree that the battery takes less charge as it gets full, ...

Re: B0 to B5

One more thing... It is better to use your forward motion to go a father distance, rather than to generate charge for the battery. Another way of saying it is, if you have to use regeneration a lot to slow down, you accelerated too much to begin with. That might be true on an American freeway but n...

Re: B0 to B5

I don't find the paddles very helpful unless you are going down a very long hill and you want to keep up a certain level of speed without using the brake pedal. And, as others have said using the brake pedal gives you just as much regeneration as the paddles, you just use your foot. One more thing.....

Re: Advice for a long drive

On a long drive, I have gotten in the habit of running my battery down to about half, then switch to charge mode as long as I am riding above 45 mph at a steady pace. I let the battery charge to the max, as I frequently encounter slowdowns and don't want to get caught short of battery. As the batter...

Re: Buying vs lease advice

I think the ride is a little stiff...but some people like that. I think the overall build and performance quality is good to excellent. On the topic of whether or not to buy a phev, I think it depends on how many miles you travel between charging., and, in my belief, only home charging is economical...

Re: Best way for charging

If you cannot plug in and charge at home, don't buy a plugin car. Buy a regular hybrid.

In my experience here in the US, the cost of public ev charging is high. Everybody is trying to cash in on the ev craze.
