Re: Wheel Spacers ?

The car weighs nearly two tons - fitting wheel spacers will throw quite a bit of extra strain on the wheel bearings - not wise.

Re: Low 12v Battery on New Car

When on holiday my car will stand unused, fior five weeks without problem. Which is not surprising, as it tops up the 12V battery from the drive battery on a daily basis and when switched on. Remember, this car has no dynamo, as the 12V battery takes its power from the the main battery, so driving o...

Re: 2020 built Jan 2021 GSR harsh suspension, any one agree ??

I see, I had to look it up. Yes, a car with a "Sports" suspension tune will always feel a bit harsh. I am surprised at this marketing ploy, it does not fit the character of the car at all. The PHEV has always been known for the smoothness of its ride, for asphalt burning on the circuit it would be m...

I do not share this impression - what tyres and what tyre pressure are you using?

Re: Did Mitsu confuse "Save" Mode and "Charge" Mode Above 78 mph (125 km/h)?

There's a few different things muddled together here. 1. IIRC Fast charging is limited to 80% to protect your battery. You can overcome this by unplugging and then starting the charge a second time. (But it will damage your battery if you do this) 2. I can't think of any circumstances that would ca...

Re: Should I go for a 100k mile+ 2015 Model? And what to look for?

I have just traded in my 2013 (Dec.) car with 150.000 km on the clock. No rust, no rattles, no excessively worn parts. It could be mistaken for a relatively young car -actually that was the case with all the old PHEVs in my dealer's showroom-. I could easily have done another 100.000 on it. The repa...

Re: 2018 Canadian PHEV wont run in ev.

Starting at exceedingly high revs when full power is not demanded sounds like a fault to me, especially if it did not do so for the first two years. I would claim a guaranty repair and refuse to be fobbed off. Doesn't Canada have customer protection laws?

Re: Let's stop ICEheat, when cold...

It's strange that there are such fundamental differences in behavior between different models. If it's the programming, then I don't envy the developers, who have to manage all the different releases. Maybe it's some sensor fault? I'd say it is not surprising in the least. We are not talking about ...

Normally the car will do this automatically. This sounds like a fault. Consult your dealer.

Re: Let's stop ICEheat, when cold...

I don't use any sites like Facebook, so cannot really comment. Our 2020 UK model tend stay in EV unless the temperature is below 8/9 degrees C, if I switch the heating off press EV mode then switch the heating back on to 18/20 degrees C, unless it it below zero degrees outside it will stay in EV mo...
