Re: Oil life?

I would rather buy one that has regular maintenance more frequently than the service schedule done by the owner (with proof of receipts for oil and filters) than one with main dealer service at the specified interval. I wouldn't as there would be no factory guaranty, nor does a receipt from Halford...

Nor has an owner access to the diagnostic software needed to check the car through at maintenance. And then t...

Re: Oil life?

It appears to me that "penny wise pound foolish" is applicable.

There is no engine braking. The engine never contributes to retardation as it is only ever connected to the wheels above 40mph and it disconnects when the throttle is released or the brakes are pressed. There is only the electrical regen.
But tthe paddles simulate engine braking quite well.

Re: Wind deflectors?

I had them and removed them after a while. They worked at keeping out the rain as long as I didn't open the windoes fully and the windows operated normally, but I disliked the wind noise they generated. I ended up having a Hollandia 300 full-feature spoiler roof fitted. https://www.webasto.com/filea...

Re: Rust spots?

Given that this is plastic, rust appears to be rather unlikely.

Re: Parking Sensors

That is a real problem - a car of this complexity should only be bought from an authorized dealer. However, as parking sensors have nothing to do with service intervals, you might still have a legal claim. As far as I am aware there are no PHEVs that did not have parking sensors from new (although t...

Re: Parking Sensors

The solution is to contact your dealer and have the system repaired/replaced under warranty.

Re: Battery technology has turned a corner

From an interview I heard with the CEO, rather the opposite.
