Re: PHEV dead after heating, how to reboot?

First off, I’ve spent an hour or so trying to find something already posted but just keep finding guides on resetting the BMU- by all means please point me to posts which can help! PHEV (‘15) has been absolutely fine until this morning. Car was iced up so I popped out, turned it on, set the windscr...

Re: OBD2 Readerinterfering with passenger Window Operation

Re: 2016 37k Miles Battery Health

With warranty, any excuse not to pay up goes. The car keeps logs, so it may well be detectable. BMU reset has been detected by accident doing normal operations in the car BMU reset is all about disconnecting and reconnecting the 12v battery, or sometime to have a low 12v battery Having a low 12v ba...

Re: 2016 37k Miles Battery Health

Elm, thank you for taking the time to give a clear view on options to extend range. I'm on the fence on the BMU reset, if it were easier I suspect I'd have done it. I know there is alot written on the subject but what is the easiest way to try to reset the BMU pls? There are multiple threads here a...

Re: 2016 37k Miles Battery Health

I would ask your dealer to do so. As the car is still within guaranty, a DIY reset might impact a battery guaranty claim (if any ;) ) The procedure in theory can happen on normal usage, so I don't think this impact the warranty .. but it might open a discussion In my case I'm not sure I have any wa...

Re: 2016 37k Miles Battery Health

Hi, ... Browsing around the forums, I am struggling to work out if 88% is an acceptable ammount of SOH remaining for a battery of this age, and also if any of the BMU reset methods people are using would actually make any difference to my battery, or if it would just reset the numbers for a coupld ...

Re: Electric shock when charging?

The teaser doesn't kill only due to the protection in few milliAmps that can release ... so in practice it send a sequence of impulse of electricity Already 120v DC can kill, since once a person get stuck in, it can't unstuck anymore, since a person can't control himself anymore Using AC vs DC in do...

Re: Electric shock when charging?

I have had plenty of 240V shocks in my life, and I am still alive and commenting on the forum  Actually I know a guy who had a live 50.000 V wire fall on his head. Cost him a hefty burn, a skin graft and some hair loss, but he survived. 240v is lethal .. but since it is AC, the body has a frac...
