Re: Oil life?

My understanding is that since the ICE is coming on fairly frequently for short(ish) periods you might need more frequent oil changes than you think. I try to follow something inbetween the recommended "regular" and "severe" intervals listed in the manual.

FCM, Adaptive cruise and AHB all have their own individual sensors
Assuming AHB is the headlights, are they radar or light sensing?

Re: FCM ????

Is the sensor for FCM and adaptive cruise also looking after the auto headlight dim/bright option (which I really like)?

Re: 12v battery death

Okay, makes sense. Still, if you've got a so-so 12v battery and lots of energy in the drive battery it'd be nice to have the car do a regular top up :)

Re: 12v battery death

Has anyone figured out the logic between charging a battery and presence (or lack) of having wifi in a car?

Re: Windscreen washer nozzle

Trickle? You are saying that this is better than a dribble? Or a huge gush? I get a single stream that hits the right side of the window. The wiper just about misses it :)

Re: Windscreen washer nozzle

I don't mind the front sprayer so much, but the one on the back window of my 2020 (Canadian) is just awful ... one spray which totally misses the wiper :)

Re: 2022 Outlander

The 2022 PHEV is not yet available in Canada (or the US??). I saw a 2022 at my dealer the other day. It seems a bit higher off the ground and longer. I've got a pretty new 2020 right now so I'm not that interested and didn't look a lot. Huge screen ... good for my aging eyes (maybe). I think the siz...

Re: Stuck Accelerator

Don't know about her particular model, but my last 3 cars (including 2 Mistsu PHEVs) have had hooks on driver's side floor mats to prevent exactly this. I complain about them when I'm trying to remove the mats since unhooking them always seems to dump some fine gravel onto the carpet ... but this st...

Re: Does EV range reduce/increase with deg and reset?

Electric range depends much more on terrain, weather, and driving habits. Also, if you manage never to fire the ICE up the car will get pissed off and run gasoline after 90? days anyway to ensure you don't end up with a tank of stale gas. Not strictly accurate - the ICE starts if you have not added...
