Re: Series Hybrid Mode - Racing Engine question

Thank you all for your responses So it seems that I'll just have to live with my car sounding like a "Daf Variomatic" of the 1950s, when negotiating steep hills at 40MPH. I was rather hoping that there would be someone out there with Watchdog or EVBatmon that would say their car behaves e...

Re: Was ICE cold weather start formula reprogrammed?

We have the UK 2020 model, over the last few days overnight we have experienced -1 c, if I leave the heater in the on position set at 22 c the ICE unit has started to fire up first thing in the morning, however if I leave the heater set at 18 c it has not fire up the ICE unit yet. In the winter I n...

Not to worried about the temperature's I just treat it as a rough guidance, its the tyre pressures and the early warning alarm

Re: TPMS on the PHEV - no pressures, what a joke!

I regularly check and amend my tyre pressure, however due to commitments I have not check the pressure since the end of September. Front tyre down to 28 psi rear down to 33psi (Rear tyre pressure normally set to 38 psi due to carrying a heavy Motability scooter), I don't have the confidence or abili...

Re: Towing in hilly areas

If you regularly accelerate away from a standstill while towing in EV-mode, all your power is coming from the battery at a high 'C' level, which isn't good for the battery. Surely it's better for longevity of the battery to use the power from the ICE for high power applications and save the battery...

Re: Towing in hilly areas

The "over revving" is just like holding a low gear to pull away/overtake faster with a manual box - although if you are used to automatics then this is not so obvious a comparison. I agree that it is intrusive but only because you have got used to how quiet the car is normally.. However, ...

Re: Towing in hilly areas

We tow a 1500kg caravan with our 2.4 PHEV, we just let our battery discharge to about 80% then hit the charge button, when we first started we were overthinking trying all sorts of modes, especially when the engine is revving away at speeds below 45 mph, eventually you will learn to ignore it, once ...

Re: Spare Tire kit

Hi Oscarmax, I wonder if you got the spare one with exactly similar rim and tire or just some random rim with similar tire size ? Any chance to use it yet ? Thanks for your help. Genuine Mitsubishi and exactly the same size, the downside being the spare wheel is of a 2017/18 model so of a different...
