with a full depleted battery
There's a confusing statement if ever I saw one! :o

I assume you mean "fully depleted"? :D
It took me a while to work that one out :D If I wasn't stupid I would be dangerous :D

Re: Real-world tests of hybrid cars show higher-than-expected emissions

I have to admit we are quite good we use either Save/Charge and make sure we have an adequate charge for the build up areas, lets be honest this one of the main reasons for a PHEV

Re: Real-world tests of hybrid cars show higher-than-expected emissions

I would imagine we are an extreme end of the scale we have achieved approximately 120mpg over the last 4960 miles including 890 miles towing, we have the opportunity to charge up on the majority of occasions to date we have used 1,170.44 kWh total running cost over the last ten and half months £336....

Re: What CAN I tow with PHEV

We are achieving between 26.5/28.5 UK mpg towing a 1500kg caravan in the UK, your figures converted to UK 18.83 UK mpg @ 59.03mph I have trouble believing that you only add 30% more fuel to almost double the weight AND stuff up aerodynamics? You seem to defy the laws of physics and a lot of other p...

Re: What CAN I tow with PHEV

I suspect the OEM hitch is quite capable of 1500kg, but for some reason Mitsubishi decided to de-rate the system in North America. I doubt you would have any issues with a tent trailer. Just keep it in Charge Mode when towing, according to other threads in this forum. The PHEV is designed to be a l...

Re: What CAN I tow with PHEV

Just keep it in Charge Mode when towing, according to other threads in this forum. I think that's a misunderstanding. You only need to use charge mode if you're towing and you know your journey is going to involve substantial climbing. The reason is that on long steep climbs (as in the Alps or the ...

Re: Not automatically switching from battery to engine

Last June when we first brought the Outlander we were going through a steep learning curve we found at 50 mph mainly using the M6 motorway approximately 30miles, raising the speed to 55 mph approximately 28 miles and 60mph nearer 26 miles. We don't drive at 70mph.

Re: Low 12v Battery on New Car

We are in the UK and have a 2020 model, due the Covid19 lockdown the PHEV only get used 2 or three times a week at the most, on some occasion we have not used the PHEV for over a week, we are experiencing None of these problems

Re: Let's stop ICEheat, when cold...

The facebook group with similar problems is growing big and strong. People even with 2020 models are complaining regarding ICE start at ambient temperatures around 15C/60F. Myself yesterday, I did a long trip at 20C/68F. After the initial ICE warmup on the highway CHARGE-ing the battery with follow...
