Last June when we first brought the Outlander we were going through a steep learning curve we found at 50 mph mainly using the M6 motorway approximately 30miles, raising the speed to 55 mph approximately 28 miles and 60mph nearer 26 miles. We don't drive at 70mph.
We are in the UK and have a 2020 model, due the Covid19 lockdown the PHEV only get used 2 or three times a week at the most, on some occasion we have not used the PHEV for over a week, we are experiencing None of these problems
The facebook group with similar problems is growing big and strong. People even with 2020 models are complaining regarding ICE start at ambient temperatures around 15C/60F. Myself yesterday, I did a long trip at 20C/68F. After the initial ICE warmup on the highway CHARGE-ing the battery with follow...

I can understand that people are interested in the PHEV's fuel economy, but, unless you are testing on a controlled circuit there will always be different results. Are you trying to find out if you get 28 mpg or 28.01 mpg. A change in weather or road surface and incline plus a slower car you accele...
For some reason I can only get One iPhone to work at a time for some reason it will not allow me to connect Two iPhone, I have an iPhone 6 and a new iPhone SE, however I must admit the iPhone SE works so much better than the iPhone 6
I would expect around 45mpg for that journey, provided you charge each end. The short low speed sections do you no favours, it's there where the EV mode comes into its own and delivers the economy benefit. I can probably agree with your figures, charging at both ends 70 mile journey - 4 degrees C h...
The car is not done to be economical on long commutes at high speeds.
On 5 to 10 times the battery range I am doing ~8L/100km at 100kmh. As the speed increase the consumption jumps significantly.
So that is 2 of us an earlier and a later model achieving similar figure to both the road test and real life. The Outlander PHEV owners towing with the 2 litre models are achieving around 22/26mpg towing in the UK in the warmer weather. Jaapv you are achieving 28/30 UK mpg driving at 80/86 miles per...
