Re: Parking Sensors

You shouldn't need to "prove" anything! Given the complexity of the car, only main dealers would run the risk of even opening the bonnet. One of the points of having dealers service the car is that they log the results with Mitsu HQ. So, they are the ones who have to "prove" the service record in an...

Re: Cabin hot and cold at the same time

Can't answer you question because I have never had this sort of problem. Other users have had problems over the years with heating but, again, not the same, as I remember. It certainly isn't normal and your dealer is a liar - find a new one!

Re: Any experience with Phev on Marine Slipways and Towing?

Unfortunately, firing up the ICE doesn't help, because until you get up to around 45mph it is merely driving the generator to replenish the drain on the battery, so you are limited to the power output of the electric motors. In addition, in common with other EV drive trains, they don't perform well ...

Re: Towing limit

Whilst UK legal towing limits are based on the weight of the vehicle - to minimise jack-knifing - like all EV drive trains, the PHEV struggles with initial forward movement from a standing start, especially on slopes. It can't even drive over a brick (or curb) if the tyre is resting against it! Alth...

Re: Battery capacity on 2014 GX4h

Checking the battery condition whilst driving is unlikely to tell you very much, as it is noting the results over a longer period of time that will show rate of degradation. However, a 2 hour drive should let you see how far you can actually go on a single charge - which, from your post, seems to be...

Re: Purchased 2nd hand 2014 Outlander - Range Question

Have to disagree with jaapv on this. In the real world (i.e. not Holland  ) what matters to most drivers is how far they can actually go on electric in their normal daily life not what the technical state of the battery is. So if your daily journeys can all be done more or less without burning ...

Re: Granny cable plug check

Well, if you are pumping in 12kwh over 5,5 hours then than is similar as running a 2kw heater. In my experience electric heater plugs also get "warm". Is that a useful comparison for you?
