Re: MG battery factory

As I need to go EV later in the year because of the withdrawal of hybrids from the London Congestion Charge exemption, I was also very impressed by the MG as an option - especially the MG5 estate (I need the carrying capacity) but I would miss the paddles and it can't mount roof bars. :o The other o...

Re: PHEV range for a 2014MY and Dealer or Private sale?

I think its a bit misleading to describe the 2nd life batteries people as offering "replacements". It is clear they are primarily about re-using batteries from scrap vehicles, mainly in non-vehicle applications - hence the low price compared to a new item from Mitsu. :?

Re: which charging cable away from home

You should also carry the "home" charging cable with you, especially until you get used to where opportunities the charge are. Otherwise you won't be able to recharge at work, hotels, friends & relatives etc. or older "public" charge points, which offer the standard domestic socket as an option.

Re: cant start _ Mitsubishi cant find any fault

Could be a problem with the 12v battery on its way out, being reluctant to boot up after a chilly night but by the time it got to dealer was warm enough to work.

Re: UK Rear Brake Caliper Safety Recall

Whilst I have no doubt that there is some form of design problem, 3 recalls suggest that there might be something else Mitsu is missing. I wonder if they realise that in the UK and possibly in other western countries, most of us no longer use the handbrake when stopped temporarily e.g. traffic light...
