Re: New Owner 2015 PHEV - 19 kms of range

So about 70k miles in 6 years with only 12miles range whereas my 2014 car has done 50k miles and still gives 20+miles per charge. On the face of it yours looks worse, but:- 1. How long have you had car? The guessometer needs to learn your journey to give a realistic estimate. However, this only appl...

Re: Oil life?

Given the lower quality of NA engine oil - this isn't dig at you, but has been acknowledged over the years in numerous posts by your compatriots - it seems foolish to penny pinch on servicing when you have invested $40k+ in buying the car. The ICE is the most expensive item after the battery and lik...

Re: Bye bye Mitsubishi

Yes the MG5 Estate looks promising, especially now they have decided belatedly that the "purely decorative" roof rails can, in fact, carry a load.

Re: Moving from Land Rover to Mitsubishi

I can remember my father, who was a Ford executive, telling me that they sold the cars at no more than cost price and made their profits on the parts. However, this is not cost effective if you have to ship them half-way round the world. I suspect it is still true and that reliability is always bett...

Re: Android Auto issues.

I know how you feel but at least you can hide behind your "handle" - my dealer knows I am an idiot.

Re: Moving from Land Rover to Mitsubishi

Never used the warranty on my 2014 car but the battery (the most expensive bit) comes with an 8 year warranty anyway - so no need to cover that on a 2018 model. Mind you I never buy extended warranties anyway because as an accountant I know that they are not cost effective. 8-)

Re: Android Auto issues.

Can't help with Android Auto specifically but the volume for the 'phone through the car's speakers is separately controlled by the same knob on the console than when playing audio, on my 2014 car - as the dealer pointed out when I complained. You may have accidently turned it down to zero when...

Re: Moving from Land Rover to Mitsubishi

0k - so a 2018 with 50k suggests more mileage on petrol than my 2014 PHEV with the same figure - possibly run by someone with more interest in the company car tax advantage then in economical driving? As a result, mechanically it is likely have "suffered" similar wear to any 3 year old car with that...

Re: How to reset service indicator?

Is it a big deal? As my main dealer can't service the car with a roof box fitted, I have just settled for an MoT (elsewhere) and, having only done 3,000 miles in the last year (mostly EV), see little point in worrying about the service (basically an oil change) with only a year left on the warranty....

Re: Moving from Land Rover to Mitsubishi

I suppose it depends on why you bought the Evoque? Yes, the Mitsu is probably more reliable/trouble free and if your daily driving is within EV range and/or you have the option of cheap recharging away from home for longer journeys, then most users find it an excellent economical load carrier that i...
