Re: Cold Weather Performance - North American 2023

Performance would be poor! My first response would be that if you wanted an EV that performs well at all temperatures then perhaps a full EV would have been developed as such. A PHEV could just use the engine and you'd get the benefit of some of the waste heat from the engine that most people are go...

Maybe his passenger's side is your driver's side? Have you looked both sides?

Re: Should I buy a used phev or new (2023)?

(When you activate it, it maintains the current distance and speed of the car in front, so I ping a car that's about a kilometer ahead and then relax. The car starts slowing down before I see the speed sign of the next country town that's coming up...) No it doesn't, it controls to one of 3 selecta...

Many Outlanders had sand left in the engine block casting which can block the coolant/heater pipework. You may have been a victim of this and have very poor coolant flow rate through your internal heater.

Re: Jump starting outlander phev 2016

Great responses as well as the tip re disconnecting to clear dash issues. Thanks. I'm going to get one of these, my wife quite often sites in the car while not running but on her phone. So after 3 winters I'm worried about the state of this tiny battery. Why not just keep it in Ready mode then and ...

Re: New Phev specs released it seems

Dealers will just fit whatever the kit is. The standard kit does not have that option on the electrical connector. A towbar specialist would perhaps know about them, but possibly not. It requires a bit of brainpower to know which wire to the sensor circuit to break with the tow bar electrics socket ...
