You can select in the menu system whether it does or not. IIRC I think ECO can only affect high or low cooling though, not heating.

As said, it's usually road crud on the exhaust, but they are not without faults such as seized brake calipers which are worth checking too.

I tried using the one-pedal mode and do like it. However, if you are going to use cruise I would suggest that you turn off the pedal mode before leaving it ... it's quite a shock to turn off cruise and have the car almost braking since your foot is not on the gas pedal :) Or you can hold your foot ...

It's definitely not. The traction battery starts the engine via the generator (working as a motor, obviously).

Sort of. IIRC if you come to a complete stop it deactivates, if you keep it rolling it that. I find it better to concentrate on driving properly yourself and maintain sensible gaps and try and smooth traffic flow rather than creating a tailback in your wake.
