Re: What fuel consumption can I expect on 50mile run on motorway?

Regardless of the arguments around total efficiency over the whole journey what clearly makes sense to do from a local environmental point of view is to use just EV mode in any urban environment. To do that when you have an urban section at the end of your journey which is beyond the battery range c...

Anyone who adopts the handle "littlescrote" is unlikely to "suffer fools gladly" - a quality that regularly gets me into trouble at work and elsewhere
That is a pretty good description of me :D

PHEV will be fine on the rollers as there is no mechanical connection between rear motors and front drive.

Re: What fuel consumption can I expect on 50mile run on motorway?

I would expect around 45mpg for that journey, provided you charge each end. The short low speed sections do you no favours, it's there where the EV mode comes into its own and delivers the economy benefit.

Re: UK Buyers guide - Which to go for £10-£15k

There is no real difference between pre-facelift (~2015) and post except mostly cosmetic. The real useful differences come in when the 2.4 engine and larger battery came out, but that is way beyond your budget. I think you'll be lucky to get a good facelift at that budget. My personal advice (with a...

Re: mystery navigation symbol

I think you're missing the point here littlescrote. Markd75 already said he'd looked through the manual and posted here afterwards. You could've easily said what you said originally and still helped him at the same time, but you didn't. I joined this site to find info on my car and to help others i...

Re: Fuel economy on the motorway

Note also that a sticking parking brake can also significantly reduce fuel economy. This ^ Not just the parking brake it's all brake calipers in general that are often seized and dragging due to lack of use and being of poor quality. Give them all a good service by stripping down and lubricating sl...

Re: mystery navigation symbol

I had been through the manual a few times before I asked on here as I thought someone might say that. Thanks for being so helpful. I might not have been helpful, but I wasn't wrong was I? The pdf manual is worth having on a pc as the search function is useful, but as said above, it's hard to search...

I havent tried a resistor in series with the temp sensor. Do you know where it is and what the value of the resistor should be?
There are a few threads about it on here, or possibly on the PHEV Facebook group, do a search and you should find it.

Re: Front Parking Sensors

Mine are occasionally set off by loud exhausts, but nothing else - certainly not dirt.
