Re: Cold Weather Performance - North American 2023

I guess the issue I have is that the car doesn’t let you know that it is turning the heat pump off or not even starting it. You only find out by how cold the interior is. If I use the App to preheat the car it should tell me it can’t because of the low temperature. If it turns off the pump while I’...

Re: Battery mileage

What on earth is a klm? It's km, simple. The SI unit of distance is the metre, m. 1000 of those is a kilometre, km.

My version of the car has an 'Eco mode' which does also affect heating and cooling. (I think)
You can select in the menu system whether it does or not. IIRC I think ECO can only affect high or low cooling though, not heating.

As said, it's usually road crud on the exhaust, but they are not without faults such as seized brake calipers which are worth checking too.

Re: Fuel economy at highway speed phev vs ice model

I tried using the one-pedal mode and do like it. However, if you are going to use cruise I would suggest that you turn off the pedal mode before leaving it ... it's quite a shock to turn off cruise and have the car almost braking since your foot is not on the gas pedal :) Or you can hold your foot ...

Re: Sudden change in drive characteristics

Do you have mismatched tyres (tread pattern or wear)?

Re: Stays in Series mode at 70mph

I experienced a similar issue for the first time in mine this last week on a winter trip to the mountains. For reference, 2016 MY, 95k miles. It was -6degC in the morning when setting off and on the motorway at around 75mph it would not enter parallel mode, neither in Charge nor Save. However, incre...

Disconnect the Auxiliary battery (12V in boot) for 30s.

It's definitely not. The traction battery starts the engine via the generator (working as a motor, obviously).

Re: Does the 2016+ 4hs/5hs have Traffic Jam Assist?

Sort of. IIRC if you come to a complete stop it deactivates, if you keep it rolling it that. I find it better to concentrate on driving properly yourself and maintain sensible gaps and try and smooth traffic flow rather than creating a tailback in your wake.
