Re: Jump starting another car

No worries Tog me old pal. I'm a curmudgeonly old git and I'm only 48 :D It wasn't meant in a patronising way, but there is a lot to learn about these vehicles that is different to others that it really is worth reading the manual cover to cover when you first get it, and then again a few months dow...

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC)

Yes. As it states in the manual. Press and hold the ACC button when activating it and you will get 'traditional' speed hold cruise control. You have to do that every time you want to use it.

Re: Jump starting another car

As you're not an idiot and have read all 594 pages, I'm surprised that you don't remember the NOTE on p 9-03 that says "You cannot rescue another vehicle's discharged battery by connecting jumper cables while using this jumper cable terminal"

You're welcome, pompous much!

Re: Jump starting another car

Please read the user manual that came with your car to learn how to get the best from it and to prevent damage to it.

Re: which charging cable away from home

type 2 (the 'charger' end) to type 1 (car end).

FYI, the charger is actually part of the vehicle, what is commonly thought of as the 'charger' is an EVSE.

Re: PHEV range for a 2014MY and Dealer or Private sale?

£20k is a massive budget for a used model. I bought my 3 year old 2016 5S in 2019 for £18k. Even at 5 years old, battery capacity should be good enough for 20 miles. It doesn't matter where you buy from, even most franchised dealers don't have a clue about them. There are a few that are very good, e...

Re: UK Rear Brake Caliper Safety Recall

I'm booked into Brighton Mitsubishi this Friday, I'll let you know what happens. I expect that as neither of my calipers have the dot that signifies the remedial calipers were fitted to have both calipers replaced, and then perhaps get some reimbursement towards my caliper that I replaced myself if ...

Re: UK Rear Brake Caliper Safety Recall

Whilst I have no doubt that there is some form of design problem, 3 recalls suggest that there might be something else Mitsu is missing. I wonder if they realise that in the UK and possibly in other western countries, most of us no longer use the handbrake when stopped temporarily e.g. traffic ligh...

Re: UK Rear Brake Caliper Safety Recall

That's what annoys me about it. I've done one replacement caliper which will probably just get replaced as a matter of course despite being only a year old. I'll ask for old parts back. Pads don't need doing as I did those at the time of the caliper replacement. If it is just inspection it's not wor...

Re: TPS RESET

I believe some tyre dealers can also read the TPMS, not only Mitsubishi dealers.
