Re: Low 12v Battery on New Car

It sounds like they are bullshitting you. The car should be able to stay unused for weeks, the 12V battery will not go down so quickly. Can you borrow a voltmeter to check it yourself? Re: Phev watchdog battery condition

You are reading this right. I also have a 2016 model, with more mileage (90000 km, 56000 miles) and my battery is at 80%, so it doesn't sound unreasonable. The battery capacity warranty should be 70% after 8 years.

Re: Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

Re: Burning smell, loss if battery, return car?

From your description I would say that the battery has a balance problem. At least one of the cells must be lower than the others. Having the heater on at night could explain also the drop in capacity on the morning, but not loosing half the battery state of charge by simply driving from the dealers...

Re: Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

I'm glad it worked! It's the PHEV version of "have you tried turning it off an on again?" ;)

Re: Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

I read that other people had the same kind of problems and fixed it by disconnecting and reconnecting the aux battery. (not the full Lindqvist method, just disconnecting and reconnecting). It's possible that the Lindqvist method puts the electronics in a strange state and don't fully work as intende...
